This fryer is the perfect size for a couple or small family. We had a larger fryer when our kids were at home, but it is just my husband and I now, so this smaller one is perfect. With that being said, the side brackets do adjust up, so you could potentially use a bigger pot with this. It seems sturdy enough to support the weight of a bigger pot. It was easy to assemble because all the parts are marked and in separate packages. It does come with its own wrench for most of the screws, but you will need a screwdriver and another small wrench for assembly. The fryer comes with a thermometer, so you can make sure your oil is heated enough before adding the food. The basket has a separator so that you can do different foods on each side. The separator does have to be attached to use it, and if you do not want it, you have to unbolt it. You need to decide if you are going to use it before you put the basket in. This is fueled with propane, so you need to have a tank to use it. This fryer does not have an ignition switch, so you have to manually light it. This might be an issue for some people, but it is fine with us.
Excited to try this new fryer for a family event I was hosting. Product is well made, sturdy and stores easily. It only took 7 minutes for the oil to totally heat. I fried several appetizer finger type foods such as mushrooms, mozzarella sticks and homemade fries. All the food cooked evenly and turned out with a nice crisp look for presentation. I loved the divider in the basket. Product comes with a thermometer so I could test temperature on grease prior to adding food items. Very happy with this product and I would highly recommend!
